Laura Terrell is Deputy General Counsel and Head of Conflicts Management for FTI Consulting, overseeing the matter intake process and client relationships. Laura has global experience advising on litigation, government investigations, corporate internal investigations and compliance, anti-bribery and anti-corruption matters, regulatory matters, corporate governance and reporting, government affairs, sanctions and export controls, employment and whistleblower issues.
Anastasia is Managing Director at Vannin Capital. She advises clients on third party funding options, assesses investment opportunities and works closely with the Head of International Arbitration in managing Vannin’s multi-million dollar international arbitration portfolio. Specialised in international arbitration and public and private international law, Anastasia is admitted to the Paris, New York and Quebec bars. Anastasia regularly speaks at industry conferences and contributes to articles on a wide range of topics in connection with dispute resolution funding and international arbitration.
Matthias Cazier-Darmois has more than 15 years of experience in providing expert evidence and valuation advice in complex commercial disputes and international arbitrations. Matthias assesses damages in judicial or arbitration proceedings, as may arise from alleged torts, breaches of contracts, or international treaties. Matthias testified in many investment and commercial arbitration proceedings, in French and in English in relating to disputes arising in several industries. In addition to his work on contentious matters, Matthias is also regularly involved in non-contentious engagements, including acquisition due diligence, valuations in the context of fairness opinions or transactions, and corporate fraud investigations.
For more than 24 years Juliette Fortin has assisted French and multinational companies, and leading law firms, in various countries around the world. Since 2006, she has specialised in valuation issues such as the valuation in M&A contexts, the quantification of damages claims in domestic and international commercial and investment disputes, accounting issues and post-transaction disputes. In the context of international arbitration disputes, Juliette is regularly appointed as expert and gives oral evidence. In the context of national disputes, Juliette intervenes regularly as an expert in the context of litigation before the Commercial Courts, within the framework of judicial expertise, or in ad-hoc expertise.
Ben Love specializes in public international law and international arbitration, with a focus on disputes arising out of the energy and natural resources sectors. He represented clients in over 50 international arbitrations, including in obtaining some of the largest damages amounts awarded in recent years. In addition to serving clients, Ben teaches international investment law and arbitration at Brooklyn Law School.
Ilija Mitrev Penushliski is counsel at Three Crowns. Ilija has represented clients in international arbitrations conducted under all major arbitration rules. His practice focuses on complex investment and commercial arbitrations, particularly in the energy sector. He has extensive experience with proceedings for the annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards in numerous jurisdictions. Ilija has also advised clients in relation to the renegotiation of bilateral investment treaties and on public international law issues, more generally, including on immunities, the law of the sea, and international criminal law.
